A Letter to Me in 2018

Well, it sounds interesting dan langsung saja saya menyetujuinya. Ternyata setelah dipikir-pikir, bingung juga mau nulis kaya apa. hehehe. Tapi, inilah surat terbaik yang saya buat. Selamat membaca!

To: Myself in 2018

Hello to you in 2018! You are already 23 years old now. Woohoo! I hope you are doing good and fine as usual :) I hope you live somewhere you belong to. I hope you are doing something you love.

So, here I am in 2013 writing a letter for you. First of all, I'm so proud of everything you've done for the past 3 years. High School was really awesome, you really had a great time, great friends, and a great place. Congratulation because your decision to move to a boarding school in Yogyakarta was very right! I could see many things changed you to be a better person. I could feel how happy you were in your school. I know stece is a girls school but it did rock your life right? :) I remember how brave you were to choose language class, not social class or even science. Then, your parents were mad at you for about 2 weeks after you came out with that decision. I remember how hard you struggled for about 2 years in language class. You were dying to prove to your parents that you deserved in there because your parents felt disappointed over and over again. But you were always stick in your way. You always enjoyed the class, the teachers, and other 22 girls in your class. They thought you how to stay low profile, loyal, and lovable, also how to stick in your principle so, you wouldn't go wrong.

Do you remember how much madness that you had experienced?
Getting back to dorm very late because you wanted to hang out with some friends and forgot about time.
Your back door was locked by a dorm sister for about 3 months because you didn't come out in pray time.
Your dormitory seniors started a chaos but I guess they lose. Ha!
How much you love biking to everywhere, mostly with Verren, then
how many pains and scars that you got because you often fell off from your bike. LOL
A massive flood attacked your dorm 2 days after Christmas and all of you had to move to other dormitory for about 6 MONTHS.
you almost failed to pass grade 11 because you messed up with one absent from your swimming class. You were fucked up. I know. hahaha
Some trips to Wonosobo, Purwokerto, and Lamongan with all your dormitory fellas.
Acting like a tourist in Malioboro.
A harlem shake video.
and talking with some girls until the dawn came.
So, those are just some little bit crazy things during your 3 years in Yogya. I know how much priceless they are. You really love them and you will never ever forget every single memory with them. It made you you so hard to leave Yogya by the time you finished high school.
Yes, you remember that night in dormitory when you had to say goodbye to your friends and all dorm sisters with so many tears and hugs, right?

Well, I really love the way you live your life. You always live in your hopes because hopes always keep you alive right?
After experienced a lot of mistakes and bad times, you finally came out with some wonderful achievements. It's all because you always keep praying, dreaming, and believing. I'm so happy to see you as a top three best students in your graduation day.
But, your problem wasn't finished. You were still puzzled with some future problem. Of course, to choose a university was something really hard for you, plus some pressures from your parents, especially your father. What a tough time. You tried to study Economy, Geography, and Sociology really hard because you never learnt them for the past 2 years in high school. I think the hardest part was trying to like them not studying them. You kept praying and struggling until it reached your limit and all that you could do was surrender to God. Yeah, I know how it feels. You had done your best, even it wasn't perfect and you let God did the rest.
Until that morning, you made it all the way to University of Indonesia.
Something that you never expected before. :)
and do you remember someone who really motivated you that time? Yes, you do.

I was so happy to see your parents proud and finally you proved something to everyone and to yourself.
Standing in your hall of fame wouldn't finish everything. Right that time, your challenge was getting bigger and harder. Being a student in UI wouldn't make your way easier, moreover, you were an international class student. You only got 2 years in UI and you had to continue your study in Australia to get your double degree. I know you wanted to study in France really bad but suddenly you had to go to Australia. A place that needed so much EXTRA cost. Well, I'm sure you were able to manage everything.

Right now, I hope...
You had a great time during your 2 years in UI.
You were being active and productive even you are in Indonesia or Australia.\
You kept study hard and managed your time very well.
You had a great experienced with your family and friends.
You found someone to teach you violin so can be a master right now.
You were fine and good during your time in Australia.
You never ever gave up during your struggle.
You found something new and amazing in Australia.
You found out some reasons why you had to be in Australia first so you wouldn't regret it.
You always remember your family and friends in Indonesia
You graduated from university earlier and with a great score.
You found someone who deserve you love and to love you back.
You had fun while you were still young.
You still stick with your old friends and never forget what you've been through.
You found some people who rock your world.
You already became a world traveler. Ha!
You already became a great cinematographer :)
You were able to continue your study in France.
You never forget about your motherland and all its history.
You will always be an Indonesian.
You make your own money.
You still do your hobbies.
You are still visiting Yogya, that magical place.
You are still a Mika fan forever and ever :)
You stay humble, fun, friendly, loyal, lovable and adventurous.
You always learn from your mistakes.
You always live out of the box.
You don't live your comfort zone too long.
You stay brave and strong.
You never tired of problem because it is your challenge.
You stay crazy and young while,
You are getting older and wiser.
You always enjoy the little things.
You manage your life better.
You stay who you are.
You still believe in one God forever and ever.
and
You always live in your hopes because they make you alive.
:)

From: Yourself

Well, it's quite long and has a flashback in the beginning. It's good to always remember what you've been through. I wonder how it feels to read it in 5 years. :)

P.S:  Silahkan dilihat punya teman-teman saya juga: Laras, Olin, Rere, dan Asha. Mereka semua adalah teman-teman asrama tercinta. Thanks for the great idea guys.
